Mike Williams

It’s with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Mike, who died suddenly at his home alone yesterday, 24^th August. He had been with Havant AC for over 25 years in the capacity of Club Secretary, and Membership secretary recently. Mike was also the manager of our women’s teams and organised annual training winter weeks in Portugal. A much loved man totally involved with athletics with County athletics administration and his training group. In fact his close and caring training group’s concern and attendance at his home, after being unable to communicate with him and his missing a training session, led to their discovery of what had happened. Mike has been unwell for a while but continued his coaching. Further details will be passed on when known. He will be sorely missed.
